MSS is a right based strategic organization. It operates within the interstices of governance issues that affect a large number of deprived and poor people, mostly tribal and Dalits. Most of the issues that MSS have taken up have wider coverage affecting large number of people. The strategies that MSS adopts up are:

Educate and build awareness among the community on the issue/s and problems.

Organize and promote leadership among the community towards mass mobilization of the affected people/communities around the issue/s

At the third stage MSS conducts strategic sessions with the affected community and explores with them whether they will stand up for their rights and entitlements or not through democratic practices.

At the fourth stage, MSS empower the community leaders to negotiate and open dialogue with the concerned entity / department.

Finally, MSS ensures persistence such that the long drawn dialogue and vicissitudes of the negotiation process do not discourage the community.
